Mind86Guides

PDF to flashcards

Mind86 makes cards from the PDF you upload and schedules each card to come back before you are likely to forget it (spaced repetition).

One short chapter, one quiz. No upload needed.

How it works

  1. Upload a PDF you own. Mind86 splits it into chapters and builds a map of the book.
  2. Study the cards for a chapter. Answer from memory, then check.
  3. Rate how it went. Easy cards come back later, hard ones sooner. Your due cards for the day are waiting in the app.

Why spacing

Spreading study over several days beats cramming the same total time into one sitting (Cepeda et al. 2006). The best gap grows with how far away your test is, so the schedule is a good default, not a guarantee.

What to check

Cards written from a PDF can be wrong or too narrow. If a card is wrong, report it from the card, and add your own cards for what your course needs.

Mind86 or a manual deck

If you want to hand-write every card, a plain flashcard app is fine. Mind86 is for when you have a long PDF and want questions, a review schedule and a chapter map without building them yourself.

Questions

Is it free to try? The sample chapter and its quiz need no account and no upload. A free account lets you upload your own PDF and get its cards.

Can I use Arabic PDFs? Yes, Mind86 reads Arabic and right-to-left text.

Do I need to upload anything to start? No. Start with the sample chapter.
